MCP server for your month-end close

The Plus plan includes a read-only MCP server. Connect an MCP client such as Claude Code or Cursor and ask which tasks block the close, who still owes evidence, or what waits for review.

Set up

  1. Sign up, create a workspace and choose the Plus plan.
  2. Open MCP Setup in the app and generate a token. The token is shown once and only its hash is stored.
  3. Add the server to your client. In Claude Code, run the command shown on the MCP Setup page. It looks like the one below.
claude mcp add --transport http finance-lead <endpoint-url-from-MCP-Setup> --header "Authorization: Bearer <your-token>"

The endpoint speaks Streamable HTTP with JSON-RPC and supports initialize, tools/list and tools/call. Clients that can only connect through OAuth cannot use it.

Tools

  • list_close_periods

Lists close periods, newest first, with task counts per status.

  • get_close_status

Summarizes one period: counts per status, overdue tasks, tasks missing required evidence, tasks waiting for review, and whether the period is ready to close.

  • list_close_tasks

Lists the tasks of a period with preparer, reviewer, due date, status and evidence count. Filters: status, overdue only, missing evidence only.

Access and limits

  • Each token belongs to one workspace and only returns that workspace's data.
  • All tools are read-only. Approvals and edits stay in the web app, so an agent cannot sign off work.
  • Revoke a token in MCP Setup and it stops working immediately.
